The Amazing Magi
Michael L. Reist, The Amazing Magi, has been interested and performing magic since he was a teenager performing at birthday parties, nursing homes, scouting events, hospitals, etc.
He has spent most of his professional adult life working with children and youth of all ages. He was a teacher for many years, teaching at Reading Area Community College, Jr. and Sr. High School history as well as the Executive Director of Northwest Neighborhood Ministries, an after-school program for children in Reading. He then became Youth Director of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Birdsboro.
In 2004 he was ordained a Lutheran pastor, serving over 3 years as pastor of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church in New Jerusalem, PA. He currently is the pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church in Stony Creek Mills, PA.
He firmly believes that God wants all of us to experience a little magic in our lives so whether he is presenting a "religious" show or a simple comedy or children’s show, he believes that magic can speak to all of us, regardless of our race, color, creed or religion.
